Terms and Conditions
Thank you for visiting Groundfire Counselling & Community Work.
You'll notice that there's a default opt-in to our mailing list—we're not able to change the wording on this, but we won't spam your inbox (and we don't send SMS, so if you get a text from Groundfire, it's not us!). We send the odd newsletter, event updates, and you can change the kind of content you get from us. And, of course, you can unsubscribe at any time.
Other than that, we pride ourselves on trying to create an inclusive and diverse space for community-minded queers and allies. To that end, we do not tolerate any harassment or discrimination such as homophobia, transphobia, racism, fascism, Islamophobia, anti-semitism, ableism, pro-colonial or genocidal viewpoints, misogyny, or anything that supports notions of supremacy (phrasing borrowed from Bay Street Video in Tkaronto, with gratitude).
We reserve all rights to remove any participant of any event who engage in behaviour that fits in any of those categories. By purchasing a ticket for one of our events, you agree to be subject to removal if you engage in harassment or discrimination, even if it's because you got possessed by the ghost of Margaret Thatcher or something.
If an event is cancelled, we will contact you to arrange a credit or refund of your registration cost. If we are unable to contact you (for example, if you change your email address, identity, or abscond into the woods), and we don't hear from you within six months, your registration cost will be donated to our Community Access Fund.
Event credit does not expire, though we do encourage folks to use it within a couple years so that you don't forget about it.
Tickets are generally non-refundable. However, if you'd like to transfer your ticket to a pal or colleague, please contact us to make that happen! If you are experiencing extenuating circumstances, please contact us at info@groundfireccw.ca and we'll see what we can figure out.
